      How Ordering & Pick up Works

      1 Decide & Deposit

      Decide on a 1/4, 1/2 or full beef. Pre-Order with your $150 deposit. Place your order through the "Shop".

      2 To the Butcher We Go

      We deliver the beef to Krehbiels Specialty Meats in McPherson, KS. We really like these folks!

      3 Weigh In

      Once the hanging weight (aka carcass weight) is determined, we'll send you an invoice to be paid to Scorched Stone Farm

      4 Wait for the Call

      Expect a phone call from Krehbiels Specialty Meats. They'll assist you in deciding how you would like your beef cut. Don't worry. . . they'll walk you through it.

      5 Ready in 3-4 Weeks

      Your beef will be ready for pick up about 3-4 weeks after butchering. You'll receive a phone call when it's ready to bring home.

      6 Take Home & Eat

      Pick up your beef at Krehbiels Specialty Meats, pay the processing fee at pick up, & go home to stock your freezer.

      Our Suggestions. . . 

      • Check with Krehbiels Specialty Meats to determine an estimate on how many packages of beef you will take home. 
      • Ensure you have enough freezer space for your purchase. 
      • We encourage you to bring coolers to pick up your meat.

      • When Pre-Ordering your beef, select "Scorched Stone Farm" as your Pick up location. 
      • If you have questions, just ask and we'll do our best to help. Remember, we were new to this once too.

      • Sold by the 1/4, 1/2, full beef.

      Estimated Hanging Weights:

      • Quarter:  187-200 lbs 
      • Half: -337-400 lbs 
      • Whole:  750-800 lbs
